@balancedcanineacademy: It’s simple. If your dog has behavior issues, take away all of their freedoms until those issues are resolved. Just with anything in life, inconsistent work gets inconsistent results. #DogTraining #dogtrainer #dogtrainingtips
Exactly!!! Like it is NEVER the dogs fault. It is always the persons. If you KNOW your dog is aggressive, fucking muzzle it. Correct them. You’re not gonna hurt your damn dog by correcting it.

it's incredibly difficult to walk my dog in my neighborhood without running into other dogs. we typically can only walk him earlier in the morning or after dark. otherwise there's a high chance we run into people. then when we're practicing deconditioning at parks, people let their off leash dogs run around on-leash areas. it's so effing hard to help our pup

my boy is a legged mastiff/canecorso and was/can be still dog reactive(he only likes my older dog), we have to walk in public for his hydrotherapy sessions and have to be around/ in seeing distance of other dogs coming in and out of the building, his therapist helps alot and is very understanding but he has come alonggggg way, alot of tears were shed with alot of learning but he can finally walk by dogs without lunging, it can happen! consistency , his muzzle and treats (for the good behaviors) were our best friends - i still refuse to let him meet other dogs😅 but he at least can walk by them politely now! it can work and can get better

People over humanize their dogs and let their own feelings get in the way of what is actually right for the dog

The opposite also applies as well. Overcorrecting your animals to the point where they’re petrified of you and the only way you ever get any obedience from them is by becoming physical/violent with them, YOURE ASKING FOR THAT DOG TO FUCK YOU UP SOME DAY!!

Same goes for kids. If your kid throws their tablets when angry and breaks it, why would you rush out to buy them a new one? If your kid is aggressive and hits other kids, why is your kid unsupervised around other kids? If your kids get into regular physical fights and hurt eachother, why are they left unsupervised? If your kid has sticky fingers at the stores, why are you not supervising their every move inside of said stores?

I just got a pup a few days ago that’s 6 months. He does this, dogs that I raise have never had this issue. It’s so exhausting and I’m working with him but I need direction.

“Sorry he’s really reactive and i don’t think he’s used to small dogs” so why are you walking him off leash around the apartment complex and why are you encouraging him to say hi to my Pomeranian??? But EYE look like an asshole if i don’t want my small dog “playing” with a big reactive dog

1 of my girls is reactive and aggressive… my house has been divided for over a year bc she doesn’t get along with my youngest dog, i don’t allow guests in my home 99% of the time and when i do she is in another room that is secure. She makes life a lot more difficult but I would never set her up for failure and put her in a situation that could be dangerous for her or other beings. People who don’t take aggressive/reactive animals seriously are so dangerous it takes a second for lifelong damage to be done it very much is THAT serious
