my mom gifted me a trip to paris while I was in debt and tbh I’ve never ever asked to go to Paris before… I asked her if I could get the money for flights and the hotel to help me pay off the debt because it would be a better graduation gift, and then all the sudden she wasn’t getting me a gift at all and she was going to Paris with my sister instead 🫠 btw the debt was for paying for groceries!! because I was a broke ass college student!!

My house flooded. Entire basement was wrote off. My mom asked to come for my birthday I said the house is a construction zone I’d rather us meet in the middle or do it at different date. She didn’t respond to me for weeks but did send a birthday card “too bad we couldn’t spend your birthday with you hope your basement is done and you’re doing what you want to do” seems nice on the outside sure. Dripping with insecurity that she didn’t get her way.
