Not a cattle farmer , but can someone explain to me other than having to put a bale in a “top loading feeder” what makes this better than a putting a hydraulic bale flat bed on the truck?

awesome invention! You've probably thought of this, but it needs a joystick and MUCH faster hydraulics. Probably have to fit a gasoline engine

What would happen if you stuck it in a bale and did something similar? We commonly stick our bale forks into a bale, unclip and drive away. I Understand that the base of this must have considerable weight to it but still seems like it might be a more stable option as you are gaining the security from the mass of the bale/ or stack.
