Believe it or not, GTI does not beat any of its rivals, it's the slowest in that class😭megane RS, focus ST, Civic type R, astra opc, i30N, they all chow GTI...GTI is the real definition of OVERRATED!

They’ve been saying the same thing about the Renault RS but the KWs and Nm just look good on paper, it’s that DSG gearbox that makes a difference 💯

Frankly people don’t buy VW to drag race people all year round. How practical are all these cars. Fuel efficiency and balance between performance and comfort for everyday city driving? Style and appearance? Maintenance? Reliability? How well does it hold it’s value? But I stand to be corrected.

Astra torque steers like no one's business..it may have more power but it doesn't do everything as good as a GTI, that's why they sell more..astras are also horrible in terms of reliability..there's always a reason why on paper a car seems underrated but doesn't sell

People claim Opel is expensive because all they know I'd Gti. The most expensive part is on the Gti being the DSG Gearbox n Megatronic. Opel is strong, braked only when the owner is careless

Opc, Megan RS, Audi S3, Seat Leon been giving GTI gaps but unfortunately the current car community cant drive stick and choose the GTI over the above I've mentioned. Volkswagen gained traction only when they launched the DSG MK5 GTI, if they stuck with manual they wouldn't be popular in SA.

to day was the day you learnt that power isn't everything 😂it's how it's applied to the road..😂and the opc isn't superior 😂look at how the 2 engines are built..it's not about the fact that one makes more power.. it's how it makes the power..the ea 888 is the world's most advanced 2l engine..it has vvt and vvl on each cylinder 👀. the engine uses witchcraft make power bro 😂the opc is just a 2.0l from yester year😂then dsg just ties up shit in an invincible bow 😂then let's not talk about tuning 👀

compare top of the range to top of the range. the OPC is a top class car in the Opel stable. so compare it to the R in the golf stable. and regardless of what it says on paper. how does each of them utilise what it's been given. there is no way a astra is running with the R

OPC is a direct competitor to Golf R.Its not underrated in the 200kw bracket there are only AWD and RWD. GTi Clubsport and TCR are better cars in compared to OPC. The reason is those GTi are running R engines. Plain GTi might not be that capable. The tech on the GTI engine with a DSG gearbox is the cheapest access to motoring.

it's the same for the civic type r ..the dsg gearbox saved the gti..the opc and type r are better......try racing a manual gti or golf r it's hopeless
