Watch Out :
train dreams felt like it was trying to be sincere but I never found a reason to care for the protagonist, it felt like a pretentious farce of a movie, pretending to be Ghost Story or something actually moving

I feel like I missed something. The story itself while said just didn’t evolve past a grieving man. I think the movie was shot beautifully and that lends a HUGE role in its popularity but to say it should win best picture is a big stretch. It would be forgotten in a few years.

Train dreams isn’t really a movie, it’s an experience. While it was boring for some, it was absolutely life changing for many others, myself included. It transcends the screen. One battle after another will go down as a great movie, and just that.
