it doesn't matter that it was a toy. if the burglar was brandishing it like a gun and it looks like a gun at the time you shot them. you are fine.

no one should be sued for that. that kid went into a store with a toy gun. made it look like it's a real gun to rob the place. that is the kids fault. it's sad that he got unalived but actions have consequences.
