I’ve never understood shrodingers cat cause reality will still happen whether you open the box or not, you don’t have to observe it. It still is going to happen whether you see it or not

I figured the trolley problem out. If you know anything about trains you'll know the wheels have to stay on the track. So you pull the lever, just after the front wheels clear the curve, flip the lever back so that the rear wheels move onto the other track. That train will stop or be derailed.

Here’s one. Everyone knows their date of birth. But no one knows their date of death. Imagine your date of death is written down in a sealed envelope and offered to you. Do you open it up and read it or burn it? What if finding out the date actually means you avoid death of that day , but then the date would no longer be true. So then given a different date on the envelope, how would you know to avoid death of that original day?

Damn ya’ll be hating! Not me. Plato’s cave (or the allegory the cave) and the implication of it still haunts my dreams. The show Severance kinda reminded me of it. The idea that our minds are/can be trapped in thoughts/beliefs is kinda terrifying if u really think about it

That’s not quite how Schrödingers cat works, it was more of an explanation of the difference between quantum physics and general relativity. It’s not that the cat is both alive and dead before being observed, but actually that these rules don’t apply to larger matter the way they apply on a quantum scale
