As someone who also never had acne growing up then got acne in my early 20s. No matter what you put on your skin or what meds you take, nothing heals your skin more than focusing on the actual root cause of the acne!!! Acne is your skin asking for something different. Most of the time if it’s in young adult women it’s hormonal!!!!! So healing with eating foods that support your hormones, cutting out products that disrupt hormones (most mainstream skincare products do!), and focusing on cycle syncing and learning about your hormones and what you can do in your daily life to support them- that is what truly heals the skin.
