Hear me out, I’ve was in college for 7 years, I work in higher education high up in my department. I’m a writer. All the things mentioned are how to properly format your writing so it articulates smoothly and sounds professional. AI learned from actual writers. Now, I understand if these kind of details pop up in casual speech because THAT would be weird. But it isn’t weird in a professional setting.

My boss encourages me to use it. It’s a great tool and resource l, why is everyone afraid of it. My job actually trains on how to use it and encourages usage. If you don’t use it enough they take licenses away lol.

This is like the calculator back in the day. It was heavily scrutinized but eventually everyone used it everywhere. AI is a tool and workplaces not adopting it are actively choosing to be at a competitive disadvantage.

I write out what I want to say by hand, then throw it in chatgpt and use it for ideas on how to make subtle changes to my own writing instead of copying it directly. I think we should use AI as a tool, not for the whole solution.
