When I was in ultrasound school my 3 year old diagnosed a fellow students wife’s gall stones. While scanning our families for fun she walked by and said mom it’s ok when people have gallstones, they can just get it removed. She saw the screen. The wife was shocked and we all laughed. She studied with me often:)

What about when the patient has gallstones, gallbladder inflammation, but the stones haven’t traveled yet. They are however causing a blockage resulting in a pancreatitis would that still be considered cholecystitis?

I had a hida scan last year but it didn’t show the gallbladder filtration… the person who gave me the test even administered morphine and still couldn’t see anything. I changed drs I have consult with another GI doctor. Just looking for answers…
