ALLE på ungdomsskolen sier nå 010er 011er og 012er. I hvertfall på Østlandet.

Millenials say: " I'm a 94-model" or whichever year you're born. Gen Z says: "I'm 00-er or 04-er" 😊

I heard someone answer 07 when asked their age yesterday but I'd never say that myself, it's a very new thing.

Yeah no, that is a gen z/young millennial thing, we did not do that in late 80’s early 90’s

I've found that pre-2000 people will use "Model/Modell"+ end digits of a year, and if it's post-2000/early 2000s then people will say "litter/kull" + last digits of a year. Like I'm from the 01 litter/kull. My father is a 67 model/modell.

I also remember we used to do this because it's easier to know what year you were born and add the difference so I'm born in '99 so for me it was easy to remember in that sense, and lots of people still do I just find it weird to add the extra 0 before after 2010 like why are they saying 010 etc it doesn't make sense in the same way

I like this way better! It was so confusing as a kid that not everyone was born in the same year as me

So funny, I had this exact conversation with a colleague today. I think it's mainly a Gen Z thing. I'm a millennial and I state my actual age whenever asked (unless I'm lying about my age🤣) I never say "I was born in '89" and make people do the math themselves😂

Never heard of that. I’ve been living in Norway for 5 years, my husband was born in the 80’s and no one ever used that system. Maybe it’s just your local thing?
