I can't get on meditation for ocd, but ERP was a great decision. Took me 8 years and everyday is still torture but it's more manageable (not easier). I've accepted this is my life, I will never be able to enjoy monumental life events like the average person will, but thats okay. I didn't leave my house for almost 5 years. I can now go to restaurants and birthday parties. I'm proud of what sound like tiny accomplishments, but they're a huge accomplishment for people like us.

I tried Prozac for my OCD(contamination OCD) and immediately it started messing with my vision. Then it gave me a tiny little blind spot on my left eye 3 weeks in. So disappointing because it was starting to help.

Tms helped my ocd so much but learning tools has helped when it’s flared. Exposure therapy is also very helpful

Can you explain what your OCD presented as? I think most people think as it very basic, such as maybe washing hands over and over. My daughter is ASD as well, when you speak to intrusive thoughts etc, she gets those but I wouldn’t have thought ocd

they want to prescribe luvox for my 14 year old small mg but I'm hesitant he takes Lexapro now but his OCD is in full swing especially his contamination constant handwashing and squeezing bat soaps changing clothes ect not sure what to do and he can't sleep at night

I’m so glad you advocated for yourself!! I know it’s not easy! I’ve been there. Not being able to do anything. Quitting my job. Vomiting the second my eyes opened for the day. Couldn’t eat. For months this went on. OCD is SCARY is so so hard. Proud of you!! 👏🏼

I’m on Luvox for 4 months now. Rumination got better around month 2, but! I had a massive trigger and now the past two weeks have been absolute torture. Just wondering if it’s normal. Has anyone had similar experience? 🥹
