I’ve never heard of a six speed sonata either as someone who is a fan of those cars. Definitely learned something new today. And my man I’m definitely a weirdo who would buy that car for a project.

I had one of these the manuals have the first 2 gears are really short then they are taller fun to drive though hyundai had that same 6 speed in the kia soul, elantra, santafe, and their sister vehicles for kia

Yup all Kia’s and Hyundai from that era had a manual option actually a customer had a 6 speed forte she said that’s only way she buys cars she preferred manuals and she had ordered as a manual from the dealer

I owned a 2011 6spd for many many years. Loved the car. Hyundai replaced the engine at no charge at 155000 miles! Kudos to Hyundai for that. I know they are rare. 2012 was the last year for a 6spd being available. Cool car!

there weren't many. ive been a hyundai tech since 2002. since the engine recall came out, out of the hundreds, if not thousands of engines ive replaced on the sonata, ive replaced 2 engines on a manual trans sonata
