I can literally brush my hair, breathe, and it's knotted again lol. I can brush the same spot in my hair immediately after I just brushed it and it's got a knot in it somehow

Everyone’s saying “fairy knots” as if it’s all cutesy but I’d literally do anything in the WORLD to have my hair not do this anymore😭 I’m always so surprised when I brush someone else’s hair and they’re like “I haven’t brushed my hair yet today” and it’s just like so easy to brush through 🫡

This is where the old Scottish and Irish braids came from! Our hair needs frequent trims, infrequent washing, and conditioning to keep it protected. On top of that it really helps to do “protective styles” *BUT* the key is to not make them tight against your scalp!!! Our hair will break easily if pulled too tight so loose braids, silk ribbons/pillowcases/bonnets, and protection from moisture is essential. Think less mother of dragons and more medieval/celtic!

you know what really helps is coconut oil. I don't care what the coconut haters have to say about the subject because I know that when my hair starts getting knotty, I need to do a coconut oil mask and it'll stop happening!!

(I’m a hairdresser) the problem with your hair is that it’s dry. I would recommend moisturizing shampoo (2 times) and conditioner(put it in the scalp too) and then applying leve in to the length of your hair afterwards, put some oil on the ends only. Hope this helps♥️

You wear your hair down and probably turn your head a lot. It happens to me when I’m driving a lot. My hair (ponytail) is brushing past my hoodie etc every time I look to the left and right. So annoying. lol

Put a tiny bit of silicone based hair smoothing gel or oil and it will stop. Your hairs cuticle is lifted and it tangles together. The silicone with smooth and stop. Only a tiny bit though so it’s not oily 👍

You need to be adding slip to your hair to help prevent this. Leave in conditioner, oil the ends. Use a wide toothed comb!instead of a brush to also help prevent breakage! Sleep with it in loose braids. Give this conditioner a try. 🫶🏼

I’m a hairdresser and I see things a lot.. it’s usually a case of having fine hair bout a lot of it. The hair strand it’s self doesn’t have much weight to it so it doesn’t know where to go so it gets tangled with the others. Along with finding the right product you also need the right haircut for your hair type
