1st rule is so dumb.. majority of people nowadays don’t feel the need to get engaged or married and are content. My parents have been together for 40 years and aren’t married or engaged..

In this day and age the no ring rule is rubbish. Plenty of people I know have been together 5+ years and are not married and would think it odd to exclude them on that basis. Infact I would prefer some peoples ‘boyfriends’ over others husbands.
