this is very much chicken&pastry. real cooks know dumplings is a drop dough🤦🏾♀️😏. back in the day some just did and repeated what they were taught. sometimes the elderly would just name a food but this is chicken& pastry and it looks good. thanks for sharing

Chicken and Dumplings. And the dough is drop into the pot. This is why it’s so important to talk to family and pass the recipes along cause family move or were sole off to other towns and cities during slavery time, the family traditions and recipes were lost or Not remembered correctly. Oh, well. It will always be chicken and dumplings for me my family.

I love Chicken and Dumplings! My Daughter’s grandma is from 252 and she kept saying that she was making Chicken and pastry when we were on the way there once. When I pulled the lid off the pot I almost cried. I was like “I thought you were making some chicken with some dessert pastries” She busted out laughing 😂😂😂
