I don’t get the sudden infatuation with Echidna. It might have been after season 2 but I don’t understand the influx of Echidna “fans” if they understood who Echidna is as a person. I’m not invested into the fandom so I don’t know the exact reason on why there is this sudden hype train of Echidna supporters, but do any of them realize what Echidna is depicted as? Echidna isn’t portrayed to be a likeable character if anything she’s shown to be the opposite. From our first introduction with her you can clearly tell there is something strange with her behavior. Kind of like she’s “artificial” in a sense when she’s talking with Subaru. Later on in arc 4 we learn how deep her greed runs. Echidna is a character who’s a slave to her own thirst and hunger for greater knowledge. She’s willing to do anything to learn new information that interests her and her goals to an extent that borderlines madness. Echidna plots, manipulates, and only cares about what benefits her and her goals. Echidna still is a significant character don’t get me wrong. I mean she created puck, created Beatrice, has a deep connection with Aldebaran, and created sphinx. Most of the later plot lines are usually related to the actions she did in the past. That doesn’t diminish the fact that she’s a flawed character who is controlled by her greed and has an inability to complete her goals. The sphinx project is a good example of that. She never fully succeeds in her goal with achieving true “immortality”. All in all, Echidna is a very important and significant character to the plot of Re zero but the Echidna glaze needs to stop. It gets to the point that people say she’s a good female interest which is another take that doesn’t make sense. For example look at the Greed-if that might be one of the worst routes Subaru could take. No hate to you or the video I’m just curious to know where all this support for echidna came from? Maybe it’s the influx of new fans coming in? Perhaps it’s just “TikTok readers” I honestly don’t know.

From what I understand, she traveled with Flugel and his group, then separated from them and took Aldebaran with her.She trained him to kill Satella, but when he failed, Echidna sacrificed herself to save him. So far I understand, but how did she create Did Beatrice create the sanctuary if she had died? Maybe the sanctuary was created before ?I don't understand.
