What I used: • ½ cup fresh aloe vera gel – helps soothe the scalp, calm irritation, and support healthy growth • 2 tbsp sweet almond oil – nourishes the scalp and helps keep hair soft and shiny • 3 tbsp castor oil – helps strengthen hair at the root and support circulation 🌿 I usually also add pumpkin seed oil or a few drops of lavender oil, but I was completely out this time and this base recipe still works really well on its own. Why I love DIY masks like this: They’re super customizable. You can mix and match oils based on what you have at home and what your scalp needs. Aloe acts as a calming base, while oils help lock in moisture and support the scalp barrier which can support less breakage and healthier-looking thickness over time. How to use: 1️⃣ Apply directly to the scalp only 2️⃣ Massage gently for 5–10 minutes 3️⃣ Leave on for 45–60 minutes 4️⃣ Rinse thoroughly and wash as normal How often: 📅 Once a week if you’re experiencing excess shedding 📅 Twice a month for maintenance and overall scalp health Storage tip: Store any leftover mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. Stir before each use and discard if the smell or texture changes. ✨ Consistency matters.
