That only works if the lock isn't installed correctly. The dead latch needs to sit on the strike and that will prevent this tool from working.

Both those doors are in the unlocked position for the handset. Otherwise, that would not be able to engage it with the extra pin on the latch

Don’t waist your money. Door locks are on the other side so there’s no crack straight on. You’d have to make a sharp angle. Doesn’t work.
