bake the baking soda at 250F for an hour to make washing soda so you can use that in the water. it gets the ph to 11, closer to pretzel ph which is 14

I peel them into both halves pre-cooked, put a hole in the middle of each and stretch them into doughnuts quick fry on both sides, cinnamon and sugar them! 16 Perfect doughnuts!
