I think the hints of Mel being autistic but struggling with food sounds light and being understanding of the patient last season more neurotypical than her sister means she’s most likely dealing with some pretty heavy masking here. She also struggles with social cues for when talking to santos.

santos is not good at communication, as seen with putting up walls with snarky comments, i think between being stressed about charting and possibly having to redo r2 she just genuinely doesn’t know how to communicate to mel that she just needs space

Javadie is more confident this season, and I thought it was a good thing, but I fear that it may be more arrogance due to her ego being stroked by her following. The mistake she made was small, but I feel like that's foreshadowing her making a bigger one in the future due to her being overeager and arrogant.

As soon as Donnie referred to his patient in the third person and talked to the interpreter I said out loud "oh that's a big no no." Clinicians need explicit training on utilizing interpreters. Eye contact, body language, when to aside to the interpreter. Very important.
