@aspirewithemmagrede: “The failure wasn’t the mistake — it was avoiding responsibility.” Simon shares a moment with Emma where a decision went wrong — not because of bad intent, but because he didn’t pause to create space for feedback. When the results crashed, he owned it. No deflection. No excuses. That moment changed everything. By taking responsibility, apologizing, and inviting his team to question him, he modeled the behavior he wanted back: honesty, accountability, and trust. Leadership isn’t about being right. It’s about creating safety — and showing accountability first. You’ll take away: 🧠 Accountability creates trust ⚠️ Avoidance breaks safety 🤝 Ownership sets the standard Watch now on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts🎙️✨ #leadership #simonsinek #aspire #leader #podcast

Finally a real personal example demonstrating his own growth in real time. I appreciate him and have over the years. I also feel he’s received more credit because he’s had the mic. And his notoriety began when it didn’t sound like he actually lived it for much time before he became thee leadership expert.

What Most Leaders Get Wrong.💔 (Inspired from Aspire by Emma grede by Simeon Sinek). One lesson I have come to realize is that: Most people don’t leave their jobs because of the work. They leave maybe because of their leaders. The way they are being treated. They leave because they don’t feel safe or supported. He reminds us that leadership was never meant to be about titles or control. It was meant to be about your why? Why do you want to be a leader? It was always about people. Right? Because true leaders always think about the feelings of other people. True leadership, is the courage to take responsibility for the lives entrusted to you. To Create a space for empowerment for people whether directly with or not with you. A leader’s real job is to create an environment where people feel safe enough to show up fully for themselves, to think clearly, to make mistakes without being scared and most importantly, grow. Because when people feel unsafe with you, all this can't happen. When people feel unsafe at work, they don’t stop working at first. They actually stop trusting you. And eventually, they stop believing in themselves. Thirdly, I'm repeating this again! Finding your “why” isn’t about people applauding you; it’s about having clarity. Being clear is important because it builds that trust. When people trust you, they don’t just work for you, they walk with you. So take this few lesson in heart🤭: *Leadership is not about being in charge, it’s about taking care of people. *Most leaders fail because they were taught the wrong version of leadership. So its not totally their fault, but when you get treated badly, talk about it. *Accept corrections as a leader please! *People thrive where they feel safe, not where they feel pressured. *Let people always have good things to say about you beacuse to me, everybody is a leader. *You don’t need to burn people out to build something meaningful. Just do it step by step and take out people not matching or trying to improve. So, I hope you have been able to gain something from this. This is my really hard and please and please! You are a leader this is not just for CEO's but for YOU! Because you are leader.
