@lukesreads: This one has divided us all. Which I totally understand, the prose is very poetic and emotionally driven. But if you can find your feet with it—the pay off at the end is staggering. Don’t stress if it’s not for you though (life is too short for books that don’t connect). #BookTok #BookRecommendations #bookworm #hamnet #maggieofarrell

I loved it, like my entire soul was consumed by it. That having been said, “I didn’t finish it.” I started it about a month after my mom died and I knew where it was heading and I just couldn’t finish it. I still absolutely LOVE this book. I need to try it again.

I thought it was a fantastic book and beautiful written. As you said, it’s not a style for everyone. Have you seen the movie adaptation? I thought they did it well, scenery was stunning and the extra scenes at the end and how they depicted the play and the emotions there really added more to the story. It helps having read

I thought it was so interesting that Shakespeare wasn’t actually present all that much, but his absence permeated the whole book.

Have you ever read anything by Stephen R Lawhead? because he does a series called Song of Albion which is a 3 book series and it involves more Celtic mythology and it is honestly on of my favorites and j think you would love them

I just read Hamnet! It’s beautiful how it centralises Shakespeare’s family and that everyone has a story to tell, it was lovely to follow this story of grief, sorrow, love and family!

If I see a book on your page I automatically read it. Sometimes I don’t even watch the whole video you post. I see the book and your face and think “well, time to buy a new book”. Your recommendations have never let me down.
