Asking an employee to work these ridiculous hours, especially with an employer in this capacity is a liability, it’s abusive and should be illegal.

I worked 3 straight 12 hour shifts once due to staff shortages. We legally could not abandon the patient until other staff was there.

That happened to me at a Long Term Care Facility called Millers Merry Manor. I had worked 6p-8a as a CNA; they then demanded another 8 hour as a RN passing medications, when staff called in sick. No administrative staff would come in to work.
