I feel that it's more in following the in-universe themes of all-consuming focus. If you are all consumed by rage and are still "alive" in the universe, you wouldn't care about clothes. Youre just focused on food and survival. Also, Danny Boyle and the people he works with tend to comment on the horrors women go through and apply them to men. Nudity is vulnerability and awareness in horror.

I also just took it as part of Garland’s overall critique and exploration of masculinity in the series. Part of why I loved Years was how you can read the Alphas as kind of the ultimate, almost parody of the manosphere’s obsession with “alpha male” nonsense.
