@zahraakxo: 📍 @merigocardiff I am a huge grilled chicken lover so I have been on the hunt to find the best piri piri spot in Cardiff which is tasty yet still affordable and I think I’ve found it! I’ve previously tried a few things off the menu and really enjoyed so when they invited us down to try a few different things, including some new menu items, I was pretty excited. We had: - Chicken rice box - Chicken wings - Chicken tasca (this is a grilled pitta with cheese) - Chicken quesadilla - Chicken burger - Piri fries I genuinely cannot pick a favourite here because the food is all brilliant. The flavours are addictive, and the hot spice is actually hot which I enjoy! We tried their Arabian delight spice level for the wings which is more of a citrusy flavour and this was a flavour explosion - such a unique flavour. The chicken is so fresh and marinated well, I just don’t think you can go wrong with whatever you choose to have from here. The portion sizes are huge - just look at the rice box! Their fries and sauces are a stand out too. Normally fries take the backseat in these kind of places because they’re an afterthought but I enjoyed how crispy they were - not oily at all and the peri salt is so moreish. Sauces again are often put on the back burner but I’m a huge sauce person and I do honestly think their garlic mayo is also better than Pepes. Overall, Merigo is such an affordable spot to grab some food from without compromising on quality. For me, this is a place I’ve had food from a fair few times since trying it - it’s that good!
