"There you go." Jennie smiled. "Mommy can make you laugh." Jade waved her little hands excitedly. "You're getting stronger every day, huh?" Jennie continued playing with her daughter until she noticed Jade's movements becoming slower. Her little eyes began to close. "Aww... finally sleepy." Jennie carefully pulled the blanket over her daughter. "Sleep well, my little princess." She leaned down and kissed Jade's forehead. Jennie stayed beside her, intending to keep watching over her daughter. But the afternoon had been exhausting. Before she knew it, Her eyes slowly closed too. ——— Several hours later, the front door opened quietly. Lisa stepped inside after a long day at the office. She placed her bag down and loosened her tie, already expecting to hear Jennie's voice from the living room. Usually, the moment Lisa came home, she would find Jennie sitting on the couch with Jade, playing with her and telling her about everything that happened during the day. But today... Silence. Lisa paused. "Hon?" No answer. She walked farther inside. "Baby?" Still nothing. A small smile appeared on Lisa's face when she realized where they probably were. She quietly walked upstairs and opened their bedroom door. There, she found Jennie fast asleep. And beside her, Jade was already awake. The baby was lying safely on her back, happily playing with her little hands and feet while occasionally looking toward her sleeping mother. Lisa couldn't help but smile. "Oh, look at you," she whispered. She walked closer and gently kissed Jennie's forehead. "Sleep, hon. You must be tired." Then Lisa sat beside Jade. I'll accept it." ——— After a while, Lisa changed into comfortable clothes. She carefully picked Jade up and carried her downstairs. Since Jennie was still sleeping, Lisa decided to order dinner instead of letting her wife worry about cooking. She settled Jade safely beside her while she placed the order. "Mama’s going to make sure mommy doesn't have to cook tonight," Lisa said. Jade made a little sound. "Exactly." Lisa smiled. Upstairs, Jennie slowly woke up. Her eyes were still heavy.
