idk if it is because us as customers dont do smth about it, the lack of regulations or the goverment, but Airlines have the WORST service in existence

One time I was flying home for Christmas and I had a connecting flight in Calgary before flying to my small town in BC. It was delayed four hours due to the cold and when it took off had to turn around and go back to Calgary because it was unsafe to land!! I ended up DRIVING Four hours because there was no update!! I didn’t receive a new flight route until 10 hours later, I was already home at that point, and if I did that it would’ve taken me two extra days and had me fly to Vancouver!!! AND THEN! Three weeks later, when I went to the airport to go back to Toronto I was told that my ticket was cancelled because I didn’t take the rerouted flight path even though I had recived no email indicating that my return flight had been cancelled.. Sooo..

It happens once to me i was flying back home from India with a change in Doha. I almost cry. They get me in the Chennai Doha without knowing if I have a connect fly. i was so stress.

Heck nothing even has to happen and the system will cancel your tickets. Story last year with a family checked in at the airport and luggage checked. When they went to all board it showed they had no tickets. So between checking in and plane boarding all their tickets had been cancelled. Worst part was that the airline blamed them and said they cancelled it themselves. So many infuriating stories.

Porter Airlines did this to my husband because flight was overbooked and the airline didn't want to offer compensation.

Happened to me once aha I asked them to change a name on a ticket and they said they couldnt do it straight away and then the night before luckily I checked and the ticket was nowhere to be found and theyre like "oh any pending changes just results in a cancellation for any tickets" Like what 🤣

That would get extremely expensive for the airline🙃 200-600€ for the inconvenience, a paid hotel stay plus transportation, plus payment for my already booked hotel and booked car and stuff. An expensive mistake

This happened to me! But luckily I realised a couple of weeks before the trip. They took my money but it wasn't correctly applied to my booking so they cancelled the booking. I had to pay another $2000 for a new booking and waited several *months* for a refund on the first booking!
