@mattganzak: Day 4 ClawdBot / MoltBot Update: An honest review, should you actually deploy this for yourself? Or is it overhyped? Let’s discuss #clawdbot #moltbot #aiautomation #AI #AIAgents
I am a web developer and in less than 4 hours after installing OpenClaw, it has saved me over 30 hours of work.

have you managed to get it to stop throwing tantrums and problem solve and do the work without needing its hand held?

It has a built in browser, and there is a chrome extension that gives it access to web pages it would typically get blocked by. And there is tons of configuration to change what it does when it reaches a block. That works for me, not sure why it wouldn’t be working for you

I'm trying to get a slimmed down version of OpenCLAW working in my home assistant on my raspberry working, but I'm running into lots of problems - mostly config but it's so time-consuming.

I’m on day 2 of getting openclaw running well. There’s a lot of frustrations. I agree. I self host it in Railway and most of the skills are disabled. So it’s like a partial assistant. Huge learning curve!

Used GPT5.2 OAuth and accidentally used thinking mode the entire time, hit the weekly limit in only a few hours lol

I’ve been so on the fence about this. It sounds so intriguing but it also sounds like a nightmare.

You need to write something in cron to constantly check whatever you are doing and not fully rely on clawdbot. Have the cron trigger clawdbot for events so it can interact with you and not based on trigger. You will burn token very fast if you rely only on clawbot for triggers.

There is a lot of work to be done in that area, but openclaw is a good step further

I have a team with the leader and a separate dispatcher. the dispatcher checks progress every 15 minutes to look for stalled tasks. also took a minute to build out multi step tasks that cross agents.

I asked mine to check some emails from Google, my web site needed a change, it came back saying it had fixed the problem. Wow.

im doing this kinda backwards. im building a ui/governance layer first, using the moltbot docs to reference, and then hooking them together once thats stable
