try to forgive for *yourself* (even selfishly) in order to let it go.. it helps you release it and distance the trauma, you dont do it for them. but once you forgive them privately for you, the release can help you be able to find the compassion to forgive them for them. then it frees you even more. down deep inside.. you take full power over it
