if you got 30k to waste on a robot, you could hire a weekly clean for like $500 and save your self $4000

I think all of these robot companies are severely over estimating how much we want these. Meaning we don’t want them at all. Nobody asked for this. No one was clamoring for this. We’ve also seen way too many science fiction movies depicting robots rising up against the humans.

Nothing he’s ever promised has actually come to fruition. If robots doing our housework are anywhere in the near future, they’re not coming from Tesla.

They will be sold to companies first and when compared to a worker $30,000 is extremely cheap and as production scales that price will decline dramatically.

Average new car in America is $50,000 now. If they say a robot will cost $30K, it will be $40K or $50K by the time it's released.

In theory I love the idea of a domestic assistant. The reality of what would be required to make it functional in the home is frightening. By necessity they will know every aspect of your life & that information will be shared with corporations who’s interests are , at best, unaligned with yours.

it's not for consumers. some YouTubers will get it for views saying how amazing it is and you should buy the stock (it may be given to them for free). a few businesses will experiment, maybe a supplier to Tesla hoping to gain favor, or a politically connected corp, like SpaceX and x. a few will buy 1 or 2 to kick the tires, and that's it.
