I thought I knew everything about my main character, but through writing the trilogy, almost every external aspect has changed from the character I started out with, but her internal aspects are the exact same. So I think that the most important thing is the CORE of the main character. Details should of course be ready to be inserted in the story, but it’s alright if they change a lot, as long as one remembers to incorporate the changes throughout the entire book, so they don’t forget they changed the name of the mother or something😂😂😂

when do i know my main character is fleshed out enough? i have 5 main characters, each of them already have a loose backstory, each of them have family fleshed out (mainly) and all have character arcs fleshed (except one but he dies at the end)

(I’m new to all of this so sorry if it sounds stupid) If I have two main characters or more, when making chapter 1, is it only supposed to be seen from one character’s pov? and then Chapter 2 is about the second character? Do I have to retell everything that happened in chapter 1? Can I switch pov’s in the first chapter? If so how do I make it clear (for the reader) that It’s another person’s pov being told ‘now’
