i was so nervous but nursery was the best thing ever for me, i ended up actually leaving college three months into my placement start date to do an apprenticeship in my nursery. it was SO worth it and even if u dont do that, its not even one of those things where ur stood clueless bc 90% of the kids are not shy and will “talk” to you or show you things, especially toddlers x

I started placement in nursery on November and I was so so nervous before I started, I was so close to just not going in 😭 but I love my placement so much it’s so fun! I would say to just be yourself and try and use your initiative, don’t be afraid to tell a child off if they’re doing something wrong and ask questions!! The staff at my placement let me be pretty independent but I get to go off with the teachers and help the children with activities and giving them snack etc. I hope you have the best time girlie 💞

it's SO much fun trust me, as someone who JUST finished their nursery placement I would love to redo it so bad you're gonna love it, you basically just play with them and help put on/take off coats and do arts and crafts and they'll all think you're just the coolest person ever

On my first day of placement I was really nervous but honestly it was actually amazing I loved placement a lot more than college and now 3yrs later after doing placement there and completing my childcare course I’m now working there as a 1-1 and doing a Senco course! Main tips be yourself, ask for help if you are unsure of anything, join in with activities, don’t be afraid to dance/sing, and take spare pair of clothes just incase… 🤣😭💪good luck :)

i go every monday, i started in January. i love it so much! your gonna mostly be like tidying up, playing with the kids, helping out at snack time/dinner time, help them get their coats on etc. its super fun i promise! just ask questions to the other staff☺️

ive been in placement since october, its tiring and you get ill but the bond you form with those children is amazing, like its so so rewarding i love those babies

Youll be taught the basics…it’s a challenging job but it’s 100%worth it, nothing beats being welcomed in the mornings by little tiny humans wirh hugs

Just be yourself. Don’t be afraid to say something when a child is doing something wrong. Make conversation with the staff

i’ve done work experience in a nursery and it was so fun you get to help little kids play and learning you might get little drawings and gifts and little friends it was so rewarding at the end when all the children was saying bye and didn’t want us to go
