@rippitfoggyfrog: I had moved away a year before, due to my parents divorce. I lost contact with all of my friends I’ve know all my life. But at my dads funeral, as I was doing my best to avoid the viewing room (the room my dads body was in) my sister came to get me and told me I had a gift from someone. I remember being very nervous to go see it cause I wanted to stay far away from my dads body, I didn’t want him to be gone I didn’t want any of it to be real. But I powered through and went to see and I find a little Angel statue that had a card and it said it was from him and his family. It meant so much and still does, I still have that statue and keep it next to my dads photo. It made me feel not so alone and told me that my friends still loved me. My dad loved that friend too, the friend was a Boy Scout and anytime my dad would see him, he’d buy popcorn or whatever from him and come home all excited and tell me about how he saw my friend.
