As a vet tech, when they come into the clinic I feel SO bad because they’re reacting out of fear. And I always tell the owners that I get it. It’s a new environment with weird smells, loud noises, strangers invading your space and poking/touching you. We don’t take any offense to it and I always tell owners not to feel bad. It’s more stressful for your fur babies and we’re just here to help ❤️

My baby was attacked my an off lead terrier, so now when she’s on her lead and can’t run away she’s really reactive. She has a big scary stay back bark and people look distressed and I just want to cry because she’s such a softie 😭😭

Muzzles can also be used for other reasons! For example, for dogs that eat non food items when on walks or outside. I hated muzzles until I was educated on them. They really do protect dogs

this is so important to remember and it’s so valuable when people like you do so because we all see Nala and how beautifully she is trained and how strong the bond you have is but dogs are animals and just like us, they have things that make them feel scared or threatened and even protective and they react the only way they know how: through the use of their body. you can have the most perfect dog in the world who is trained impeccably but sometimes you just can’t take all their worries away and that’s okay 🤍 they are all individuals just like us!
