Instacart needs to pay more on 0 tip orders. Not even $5? That’s ridiculous.

I hate that these services make you tip prior… like it’s a service why isn’t it after you get the order?

On no tip orders I would specifically be tempted to send unripe fruit.

my dad does this...shows no tips but gives a huge cash tip.. one he says cash so IRS doesn't know what you make..and 2nd he likes to give a huge tip to someone not expecting one but still does the job.

I will never understand knowingly taking no tip orders. $4 for at least a half hour of work, not including the cost of gas and wear and tear on your vehicle. Factoring in those things you made less than the federal minimum wage. Is the intent charity work? Like I do doordash to survive and get by. I don’t take shop and deliver orders 99% of the time because they don’t tip enough to be worth it. I only take orders where I make at least $2/mile and a minimum of $6. I average $25/hour after factoring in gas. I guess if your intention is to do volunteer work, then it works out but I think most people are doing these apps for the money

I get people ordering are going through things. But someone also doing deliveries maybe going through things too and not tipping even a couple bucks is just rude. Maybe don’t get one of those “luxury” items so you can tip your delivery person 2-3 bucks. 👍🏻

I’ve only been instacarting for a month and a half… and the amount of no tip orders that come up are crazy to me. I could never not tip someone that not only went through the trouble of personally shopping it, but also dropped it off directly to me.

Everyone saying they shouldn’t tip before because they don’t know the service they’re going to receive- instacart allows you to decrease your tip within 2 hours after delivery. And if anything people can at least tip the distance that the driver is having to go.
