That’s not what that means. When you respect someone’s decision, it doesn’t mean you think it’s right or agree. It means you will be respectful that it was their decision to make, and they made it, and you won’t keep arguing about it or do something that disrespects the decision they made like doing something opposite of what they decided, etc. it means you’ll be respectful, not that you think highly of it.
