I’m a Niqabi and they avoid me like the plague 😂😂😂 even the women too! It’s very odd. Until I speak and they are confused like yes I’m an American 🤭but the amount of women I met in Muslim countries want me to take of the niqab and find it disrespectful if I don’t remove the face veil when I’m with them… like I don’t trust you like that 😩

I started my hijab journey in Jan, Alhamdulillah and so far it’s been a crazy ride. The male gaze now comes from every nation (did we forget we’re supposed to lower our gaze?). People (non-Muslims) constantly ask me “why” which honestly, is my favorite question because I love saying, “So that you can visibly see that I am Muslim” Some of my friends are suddenly scared of me like a child .. as if I’m here to judge them, when I’m literally forbidden to judge anyone and there’s so much more but in this short period of becoming a hijabi, it has shown me how many Muslims have forgotten or normalized so many things .. it’s scary

I thought the same thing when I became a hijabi especially being a Mexican Muslim. I get the comments of like you’re so rare to find like that’s some type of compliment it’s disgusting. I really thought now that I’m covered up. I’m not gonna get any attention, but it’s gotten so much worse.😒

Girllllllllll hear me out find a halal pizza spot in your area! We have a few here in DC and they don’t serve any pork their pepperoni and sausage etc are BEEF. Subhanallah 🫶🏽

Congrats on becoming Muslim and congrats on wearing hijab. I started wearing the hijab in high school freshman year. I will say you’re right men do not stop bothering you. Sometimes I just ignore them and try to ask them to leave me alone. You’re not alone with your issues.

I’ve been a Muslim for 10 yrs and been a hijabi for 1 year already, I’ve been assumed I’ve been wearing my hijab I’ve received so many misconceptions and judgements too 😅 but I’ve learned the hard way that we dont please anybody, we only do this things to please allah SWT.

Im a revert and ive been covering my hair, the only thing is my living situation i live with siblings and one non family that is a man so i feel it defeats the purpose of wearing the hijab full time if he is able to see my hair at home. I cover up my body obviously and keep my distance from him but im not sure how to go about this when living with non family male😓 i cant just move the only reason he lives there is because of rent
