My dealership hated me because I would walk the customer back to sales and say so these are the people denying your promise. Speak with them to figure it out and I would walk back into service with a smile on my face

“Figure it out” and walking away. Sales favorite thing. This stopped when all of service agreed “figure it out” meant sales was paying for it and we just put it to their internal account

This happened to me, but with a radio. Walked from service to sales and said I’m returning it bring me my old car. Radio was ordered and replaced next day.

When I was a general manager at ford back in 07/08 the sales manager would hire sales guys that kept over promising shit then would quit and move on to a new dealership, it got so annoying. We had customers come back saying “my sales guy said hit 6 months of payments and I’d get a free stereo upgrade”. lol what?!
