it's always me, your friendly material expert! The old applicator had a larger bulb surface area, making it prone to silicone blowouts (where the center swells like a balloon). By reducing the channel thickness, the applicator is less susceptible to blowouts, preventing both unusual leaking and manufacturing defects. hope it helps!
