I resigned without a plan of how I will survive — not because I wanted to, but because of the abuse and the impact it had on my health. In October last year, I had a panic attack while I was on duty. It was my first time ever experiencing something like that. I was hospitalised for days, and instead of checking on my well-being, the only thing the company was stressing about was receiving my doctor’s note while I was still fighting for my life in hospital. In December, I got sick again while on duty and was told to go see a doctor. Unfortunately, I ended up being admitted from the 17th of December until the 30th. I returned to work on the 31st. All the days I was hospitalised were deducted as unpaid, even though I submitted a doctor’s note as proof and it was verified. I was told the money would be reversed, but that never happened. Today, things were made worse by the salary I received, even though I still had sick leave days available. When I came back, I had to fight just to get my own money. This month, I decided to resign for the sake of my health. Now I have received only about 10% of my salary — not even half. I am hurt, angry, and deeply disappointed. I am sharing this because no one deserves to be treated like this, especially when they are sick and vulnerable.
