I usually agree with everything you say but Emerald is significantly harder than tanzanite (emerald is around an 8 on mohs tanzanite is 6) tanzanite is never a stone I would recommend for daily wear - wear one for a few years youd be lucky to have any facets left - it usually ends up looking like a bar of soap - it is also extremely sensitive to temperature swings and susceptible to chemicals : household cleaners / etc - a high quality emerald that doesn’t have major inclusions and is not significantly clarity enhanced is actually a pretty tough stone and suitable for daily wear - and you can totally destroy a tanzanite - turn it into dust by rubbing an emerald against it while the emerald would remain completely unharmed

Tanzanite is not a stone you want to wear everyday. Not durable enough can be sensitive to sudden temperature changes

you can get lab grown anything for a fraction of the price. you can't tell the difference unless jewelry is looking real close.

Gemstones in engagement rings melt my soul.. None of them stand the test of time. They either suck up oil, water, or dull overtime. Everyone refuses to wear lab grown diamonds despite the fact that they come in every color..There’s no mining involved. No conflict, just durability.
