@melissabackwoodss: The Fibonacci Grind - a staple of Olive Knives - a new brand I have recently learned about. The unusual step pattern on the blade is meant to reduce friction while cutting. I met the team at SHOT Show and they were extremely passionate about their knives and materials. The company name “Olive Knives” is inspired by the resilience and utility of the olive tree. I have a couple of their newer models and am excited to test them out! They are 100% made in the USA and while the price point is a bit steeper 329-399) they are truly one of a kind with many different well thought-out features. It truly amazes me how companies are continually coming out with new things, especially with such a primitive tool. The company name Olive Knives More coming on these soon, learn more at OliveKnives.com
you've seen it on kukri house items along with Busse combat items

And actually, if you carry that through to a Santoko it would actually push the food away that sticks so often when you’re cutting.

I've never even heard of that grind before. Looks interesting. I'm curious about how they test out. I'm liking the 1st one. 🙌🙂

Actually thought about doing that and the easiest way is if you use your grinding jig and you just keep changing your angles three or four steps great idea thank you!!
