Think there’s too much of a rush to judge players. Liverpool started the season on fire then their form fell off completely. Wirtz has shown some he’s a really good player in games - but he’s only 22 just like Xavi Simons. At least wait until the end of the season to really make an assessment.

expecting a player from a different league to immediately be the best player in a totally new team is just stupid no matter how much he cost. if he's a flop after two years then he's a flop but taking half a season to get going is not worrying at all. especially since he is really looking better and better now.

we overspent on Wirtz and Isak (even Ekitike)... but the 100m threshold is an ancient metric now. Enzo, Caicideo, Grealish, Rice - none have set the league on fire. Spurs want 100 for Van Der Ven, Brighton wanted it for Baleba... all fine players just none have an impact - Arsenal, City, Chelsea have paid 70m for bench players... the markets messed up

People need to stop treating real life like fifa. £100m does not mean you HAVE to hit the ground running. All it is is how much both teams valued him. If he has 6 bad months to start then goes on to have 10 good years no one will care. Honestly.
