@hoosierboyfilms: Christoph Waltz has often spoken about resisting perfection in favor of truth. What makes his work resonate isn’t polish, but precision rooted in risk—allowing contradiction, vulnerability, and uncertainty to live inside the performance. The reminder here is simple: connection comes from honesty, not control. Finding your voice means accepting imperfection and trusting that vulnerability isn’t weakness, but the source of real power. ⭐️ #christophwaltz #actor #interview #filmmaking #filmtok

Reminds me of Trey Parker saying the Warcraft episode was going to be a disaster and he was done creatively only for it to be their most popular episode

when you feel like youre in control, and that you have gotten a handle on the part, is when you run the risk of losing the humanity in it. the messiness is what makes it interesting

I will extend this observation to musical performance as well. Exactly the same. Without fail more people will comment that they loved a show I’m kicking myself about. God loves irony.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is the relationship between Rotten Tomatoes Critics and Audience reviews. How well is a movie made vs Did it entertain you?

Parallels to music as well. A song is conveying and sharing emotion to an audience. If it’s too polished, too electronic or computerized then it loses some of its humanity & emotional connection. But organic instruments, imperfect tone, occasional wrong notes, etc. Something about the live energy of a song that connects directly because it’s flawed and human.

This is amazing insight about humanity both as the actor and the audience. And also what can be learned that maybe an experience is as valuable as searching for perfection

I went to see dracula once on a dress rehearsal/pre-opening night discount. renfield kept dropping his props, everyone made little mistakes. no one laughed, or booed, and the actors kept their composure and it was one of the best theater experiences of my life. I've seen MANY different takes of dracula on stage and in film and it was still the best rendition I've ever seen.

because I think as people we get it. we aren't looking for perfection. tbh we wouldn't even know exactly what that would mean for each individual situation. I always say do the best you can and the rest will follow. there is nothing wrong with being human because we are imperfect creatures. its actually interesting because we always tend to look for imperfections on others so we can feel we aren't the odd ones out. ✨ really love this video🥰
