My school just started doing free swim lessons but one of the things stopping me is that I care about the longevity of my protective styles😭 idk if I can deal with that

I've resorted to wearing child size caps. they're the only ones that keep me 90% dry and less slippage. I found that I have a smaller head than the average caps serve

What about that one that has silk on the inside and is waterproof on the outside. It is designed to keep long braids totally dry. Can’t remember the name, but that silk lining narrows it down dramatically

Hi! I know this isn’t my place and take this however you’d like. I swam since i was about 6 until about 15. I noticed your arms go a little wider than most coaches recommend. If you bring your arms and elbows in a bit ( kind along your side about the water so your elbow makes more of a 90° angle) you’ll reduce risk of shoulder injury and swim a bit faster.

Back in school we had swimming lessons and three teachers had to help me put on my swimming cap that was such a struggle always and I felt ashamed for my curly thick hair🙃
