My first thoughts relating to this was Lot’s wife. Lots of Christins blame her for looking back and not listening but imagine if you were her for a moment. Having to leave everything and everyone you’ve ever known in a split second without a chance to say goodbye. Many would absolutely look back. I would. the funny part is the Bible never even says "hey, you reading this, you're the chosen people". They just imagine it to be so. the current form of Christianity is very far removed from the book but they still cling to it.
