No one is demonizing the people. Maybe their government, but i haven’t seen anyone demonizing the people of the country. Their government is deserving of criticism just as ours.

just so everyone in the comments knows, the South Korea security act criminalizes supporting or praising North Korea and anti-state organizations. this is why most defectors stories are not reliable

We can disagree with how NK is ruled now, but we’re so fast to forget history. Korea did nothing wrong, got colonized by Japan in 1910, and ripped apart by Japan and USA after ww2. Really just another tragic mess the US left behind.

I need to read the material but I also side with the people fighting for liberation and to free people from oppression (former can mean different) but I don’t think the North Korean government is that, I think they use the fighting for liberation to stay in power and oppress their citizens
