@sacramentourbanmedia916: Georgia elementary school assistant principal has been taken into custody after authorities say she stole nearly $1,000 in merchandise from a Walmart. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported that #CourtneyJanellShaw, 47, was arrested Monday, Jan. 19, and faces a charge of theft by shoplifting. Investigators say the case stemmed from a complaint filed by a Walmart in Woodstock. According to deputies, the store documented multiple alleged shoplifting incidents involving Shaw between Nov. 2 and Dec. 31, 2025. A Walmart employee told investigators that Shaw repeatedly placed items on top of one another at the self-checkout, scanning only a single product while concealing additional merchandise. Authorities say she would then bag the items or place them in her cart and exit the store without paying for everything. In total, investigators allege Shaw stole 98 items valued at $943.97 over the two-month period. Surveillance video reportedly captured the suspect leaving the store on various occasions in either a gray Jeep or a gray pickup truck. However, parking lot cameras were unable to obtain a readable license plate, officials said.#fyp #viral
