That's not how proof works. You could just lie. "I saw Tom steal the cookie." - I just lied. This is not proof of Tom's guilt.

Wow. In English we do the same thing. By saying “I saw, I was told, I assume”…

you don't have to prove it. you have to cite sources

Kingsley :
“Lying is IMPOSSIBLE in this language” and it’s just a concept virtually every language tends to already include naturally. Including stuff like “*I* saw…”, “I was *told*…” , etc. is practically unnecessary to force as a rule because it already presents itself as a natural consequence of the way humans express things and virtually every language has a way to structure that.

But the chart you showed has a suffix for conjecture. Meaning you can still say stuff you can’t verify.

So back when this Amazonian language was developing centuries ago, they already had bathrooms? Amazing.

we have the seen and reported/heard conjugations in Turkish as well. you can convey if youve seen or heard it from someone else by adding suffixes to the verb

Should we derived value according to how widespread is the language or how "successful" were the societies that spoke it?

I feel like, and maybe I'm totally wrong (because I don't remember where I think I saw it specifically lol like the language) but I think I remember them saying there was an aboriginal language in / around Oceania that also did this

language shapes thought, so they probably developed this style of speech during hunts to discuss animals directly observed, animals seen by others, or rumors of animals by the tribe.
